Courtney Place defines "veteran" in accordance with 38 U.S.C. § 101(2) and 13 CFR § 125.11: The term "veteran" means a person who served in the active military, naval, or air service, and who was discharged or released therefrom under conditions other than dishonorable (e.g., honorable, under honorable conditions, general).
A Reservist or member of the National Guard called to Federal active duty or disabled from a disease or injury incurred or aggravated in line of duty or while in training status also qualify as a veteran
Is there an application fee? How much?
Yes, $35.
Are the apartments furnished?
No, the units come with a washer/dryer, fridge, microwave, and built in cabinets.
What utilities are included in the rent?
Water, sewer, and trash.
Do I have an assigned parking space?
No, parking is first come first served due to limited number of spots available on property.
Is Courtney Place transitional? A shelter?
No, it is permanent housing
How long can I live at Courtney Place?
As long as you qualify, this is determined annually.
Does Social Security count towards the income limit? VA Service-Connected Disability?
Yes, they both count towards income.
Do you have to be a disabled veteran to live at Courtney Place?
Not at all! Every veteran is welcome to apply.
What are the income limits?
One person: $38,400; Two people: $43,860; Three people: $49,320, Four people: $54,780, Five People: $59,220.
What are the rents?
1x1 is $900 and 2x2 is $1,100
